The goal for this class is to build some practical skills to achieve outcomes and to quantify these specific to embodied carbon in building & construction materials and methods. In addition the talk will take you on deep dives into a couple of real case studies of embodied carbon reduction.

  • Learn some simple methods and tools to establish a project Baseline and the GAP to Zero;
  • Explore the implications of some key design strategies on reducing embodied carbon and
  • Understand how to interpret outcomes and communicate to others.
