Rod Rose is a director of the environmental services company, Eco Logical Australia, where he specialises in bushfire protection. In his most current presentation, he provides a 2020 update of the current requirements for Planning for Bushfire Protection PBP 2019. 
Rod outlines the main safety and design considerations when developing on bushfire-prone land. He explains the specific regulations which are relevant to each stage of a project and how these regulations impact on development approval. This presentation also clarifies which particular situations require the expertise of an accredited BPAD (Bushfire Planning and Design) consultant.

  • Be aware of the standard processes and the opportunities that site specific assessment may benefit for individual developments, such as increased yield on a site etc.
  • Understand the requirements for Complying Development in Bushfire Prone Land (BFPL)
