Rod Rose is a director of the environmental services company, Eco Logical Australia, where he specialises in bushfire protection. In his most current presentation, he provides a 2020 update of the current requirements for Planning for Bushfire Protection PBP 2019.
Rod outlines the main safety and design considerations when developing on bushfire-prone land. He explains the specific regulations which are relevant to each stage of a project and how these regulations impact on development approval. This presentation also clarifies which particular situations require the expertise of an accredited BPAD (Bushfire Planning and Design) consultant.

Be aware of the standard processes and the opportunities that site specific assessment may benefit for individual developments, such as increased yield on a site etc.
Understand the requirements for Complying Development in Bushfire Prone Land (BFPL)
